HYDAX HYDRAULICS was established in the year 1979, by Mr.D.B Mukherjee, a technocrat with over 40 years of expertise behind him. The concept right from the onset, was to create products that would be indigenously designed, technologically superior and commercially viable. It must be pointed out that we were pioneers in the area of manufacturing hydraulic accessories in India.

We are pioneer manufacturers of hydraulic equipment in India catering to the fluid power needs of premier OEMs in India and a cross section of clients worldwide. Now we have started building machines using a patent pending electrochemical process of deburring with robots of indigenous technology.

I am passionate about the use of technology to develop new products and believe science provides the foundation for the same. My management background has given me a global perspective of business and am able to apply it to the Indian context. I am constantly working on new developments and keep INNOVATION as my lodestar.

I am the founder of The School of Martial Arts, a 26 year institution teaching traditional martial arts in the contemporary environment and also hold the national Muay Thai title for 2023 and 2024. Working with special needs children is close to my heart and I hold a diploma in inclusive education from the Spastics Society of India. I helped setup and manage the SEN department in Candor International School for a period of 3 years from 2015 to 2018. Travelling, trekking, teaching, training are my motivating activities. Presently, my evenings are devoted to reviving a comatose vintage 1972 Bullet motorcycle.

I, Meetali Mukherjee

Managing Director, am a graduate in English Literature and have earned a certificate in Entrepreneurship from IIM, Bangalore. I am an engineer at heart and consider product and process improvement as my pet preferences in manufacturing. It is my personal endeavor to promote the role of women in manufacturing and like to provide an encouraging environment for the same.

Despite the seemingly stern appearance of our industry, it is peppered with comical incidents to liven up our mostly stressful work lives. I am trying to document these funny anecdotes in a collection named “Manufacturing stories” and ask my peers in the industry to send me your laughable moments to share with others. Creating Zentangle artwork is my favorite engagement during long winding seminars and meetings. In my free time, I make handmade upcycled objects out of wood, cloth, yarn, beads, etc. I can spin yarn from cotton and am the proud owner of a vast collection of hand tools (mostly inherited) to aid my handmade projects.

Meetali Mukherjee is among the founding members of the Attibele Industries Association and is the Vice President on the Executive Committee. She is also in the Executive Council of the Fluid Power Society of India and is on their Branding Committee. HYDAX is part of the support group which is trying to revive the contaminated water bodies around our industrial area and is committed to prevent pollutants into the lakes. HYDAX also sponsors student awards for the winning team at the Fluid Power Technical Seminar every year.
